Christmas The holidays have officially arrived in the Rogue Valley.

You have plenty of opportunities this weekend to get merry and bright. Twinkle along the parade route in Central Point as the Community Christmas Lights Parade moves through downtown Saturday.

The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Christmas tree lighting at 7:00 p.m. with live music and free gifts and goodies for all the children.

South Medford Softball’s 5th Annual “Deer” Santa Fundraiser Event at Harry & David’s Country Village: Tell the jolly elf your Christmas wishes as you have your picture taken with Santa and his real live reindeer over the next three weekends. Donner and Blitzen arrive this Friday.

Come one, come all to Walker Elementary School’s Winter Faire. The event in Ashland this Saturday features lots of games for kids. And with free admission and activities starting at just 50-cents a pop it’s affordable for the whole family. Fun at the winter faire runs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Grants Pass Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Event

You can also head to Grants Pass for this year’s tree lighting! You’ll be able to celebrate the holidays with the Christmas tree, Santa and plenty of activities for the whole family.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. Friday with the tree lighting planned for 7 p.m. It’s all happening in the Holiday Plaza at Fifth and G Streets in downtown Grants Pass.

    The Annual Christmas Bazaar has been postponed until next Saturday, December 14th for the safety of all the vendors, students, volunteers and shoppers.

    Please come by and enjoy the handmade crafts from over 200 vendors. Numerous Raffles, Lunch will be available. There will be parking at Fleming Middle School with free shuttle service for limited time. Asking $1.00 Donation is being asked to go to the 2014 Senior Class drug and alcohol free grad night.
