The Medford Armory is transformed into a winter wonderland this weekend and characters from last year’s hit show at the Oregon Cabaret Theatre are reuniting with a new show featuring some classic holiday songs.
The marvelous Wonderettes, featured in last summer’s hit show at the Oregon Cabaret Theatre, are back with a show jam-packed with beloved holiday tunes and plenty of surprises as well. It’s Christmas 1968, ten years after the Wonderettes graduated from Springfield High.
Betty Jean, Suzy, Cindy Lou and Missy have once again joined forces to create an entertaining holiday show and when Santa goes missing the girls must use their talent and creative ingenuity – plus some great holiday tunes – to save the holiday party. The 21st Annual Providence Festival of Trees continues its tradition of offering a beautiful, heartwarming holiday experience for the entire family.
This year’s exhibit features an array of holiday decorations including 38 large trees, 20 tabletop trees, 30 mini-trees, 20 wreaths, 3 fireplace mantels and 3 holiday crates. You can also purchase raffle tickets for great prizes, including trees covered with gifts and certificates. The Festival of Trees is at the Medford Armory through Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children and seniors.
Downtown Grants Pass is bringing in the holiday spirit this weekend. Visit the holiday plaza at 5th and G Streets Friday night at 7 p.m. for the lighting of the tallest Christmas tree yet in Grants Pass. Activities will take place in the plaza through December 23rd. Including visits with Santa at his workshop.
