Battle of the Bones

It’s the biggest barbeque event of the year and it’s hotter than ever. This year’s Battle of the Bones is bringing the best of the region’s barbeque and chili chefs together in Central Point to compete for bragging rights and cash prizes.

The event also includes beer and wine tasting, live music and kids activities. There is no admission fee. Tasting tickets for food, beer and wine can be purchased separately.

Look for battle of the bones at Twin Creeks Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Go to their website for more information.

Del Rio Summer Concerts

It’s a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll on Friday night at Del Rio Vineyards and Winery.

Del Rio’s summer concert series kicks off tomorrow night with Jeff Fretwell and The Detractors. Bring a blanket and relax while enjoying music and Italian food creations from Rocco’s Amore. General admission is $7.50, $5.00 for wine club members.
