MEDFORD, Ore. — The Medford Rogues got the final piece of their coaching puzzle, as assistant coach Dylan Jones joined the team last week. Jones is a former Oregon State player and was on Pat Casey’s coaching staff this year as the Beavers made their run to the College World Series.

Normally, players and coaches take a little time off between the end of their college season and the start of the summer season, but not Jones. The Beavers were eliminated on June 21st in Omaha, and Jones was in Medford less than a week later.

“I had been talking to Josh and Jeff through summer starting and I just thought it would be a good thing for me to get down here as soon as I could,” said Jones. “There’s no better way to deal with a loss than to get right back to the next game so I just thought that being on the baseball field would be the best thing so just getting down here as quick as I could was the right move.”
