OSP Captain Pleads Guilty to Misconduct

Police-Lights-22-250x169LINN COUNTY, Ore. — The former head of the Oregon State Police Office of Professional Standards plead guilty today and was sentenced in Linn County Circuit Court on one count of Official Misconduct, according to a press release from OSP.

Jeff Randall Lanz, 39, also submitted his resignation to the Department on Wednesday, ending his 15 year career with OSP. Lanz was sentenced to 12 months Bench Probation, and 3 days in Jail (beginning today). Restitution to the Department of State Police in the amount of $485.19 for repayment in all six incidents was agreed upon and paid to the Department on Wednesday.
