ASHLAND, Ore. — Oregon State Police seized over 12 pounds of crystal meth near Ashland during a traffic stop Thursday morning.
OSP said a trooper stopped a 2006 Nissan Altima for speeding. The car had California license plates and was heading northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 11.
Subsequent investigation related to the traffic stop led to the seizure approximately 12.5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine concealed in the vehicle. Estimated value of the seized methamphetamine is approximately $190,000.
28-year-old Jesus Paz Flores from Adelanto, California was arrested was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Jackson County Jail. He is charged with manufacture, possession and distribution of meth.
