OSF, Libraries Receive Government Grants

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Hundreds of thousands of dollars was recently awarded to four organizations in Southern Oregon.

The Oregon Cultural Trust Board, an organization that promotes cultural communities across the state, gave the Oregon Shakespeare Festival $35,000. OSF is the largest grant recipient in Southern Oregon.

The second highest grant went to the Josephine Community Libraries. Kate Lasky, the executive director, says the money will be used in its marketing campaign. They are promoting the libraries online resources. Lasky says the advertisements will be in the form of television and radio commercials.

The Ross Ragland Theater and the Jacksonville Heritage Society received $5,000.
