ASHLAND, Ore. — The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) and ScienceWorks Hands-on Museum have joined forces to enhance the science-meets-art experience of OSF’s stage adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s classic science-fiction adventure novel, “A Wrinkle in Time.”
From fire and frozen breath, to elephant toothpaste, five of OSF’s Preface Plus Prologues will feature live ScienceWorks demonstrations. These discussions about “A Wrinkle in Time” will be held at 12 p.m. in Carpenter Hall June 26, July 10, August 28 and September 27.
ScienceWorks has developed a special inquiry-based engineering lab called “Switch It Up” for groups planning to attend the play, as well as “A Wrinkle in Time Exhibit Guide,” which will help users to explore the themes and science from “A Wrinkle in Time” as they enjoy more than 100 hands-on exhibits. Now through November 15, ScienceWorks is offering a 50 percent discount off the price of museum general admission when OSF ticket-holders present their “A Wrinkle in Time” tickets or ticket stubs. Only one museum discount admission per OSF ticket, and this offer is not valid in conjunction with any other discount offer.
