OSF Actor Pleads “Not Guilty” to Charges

WILSON, TYRONEASHLAND, Ore. — An Oregon Shakespeare actor was arrested on charges of sex abuse and sodomy.

Ashland Police say a woman reported being assaulted by 54-year-old Tyrone Wilson last November. Police say the relationship between Wilson and the woman was consensual at first, but then turned into an unwanted act.

On Thursday, Wilson pled not guilty to all charges. He is currently being held in the Jackson County Jail on a $1 million bond. Police say he will be in court again on February 24th.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival website shows Wilson has been with the festival for 19 seasons. He was expected to play in roles in productions this February and July.
