Oregon Ranks Near Top in New Green Jobs

ASHLAND, Ore., – A new study puts Oregon near the top of states leading the way for clean energy jobs.

A report from the group Environmental Entrepreneurs puts Oregon third among states that added green jobs during the third quarter of 2012. Only California and New York finished higher. On the whole, the United States Added 10,800 new green jobs during that span.

Local green companies said it confirms what they’ve already known about Oregon’s environmentally-friendly reputation. Brammo Electric Vehicles CEO Craig Bramscher said the Ashland-based company has been in the process of expanding and adding new jobs, in anticipation of a move into the former Wal-Mart building in Talent.

In Medford, RHT Energy Solutions says many businesses are seeing the financial advantages of going green. They say companies are finding ways to help the environment while also helping the bottom line, in the form of lower electric bills.

The study also said more green jobs were added at the beginning of the year compared to the third quarter. The first quarter of 2012 saw 46,000 green jobs added nationwide.

Green jobs…they don’t really exist, just green pork. We are all subsidizing this garbage killing the real economy. What a joke. Let’s pat ourselves on the back while killing American jobs. By the way, all the American jobs you kill with this garbage are going to China where guess what? NO ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS genius.
