MEDFORD, Ore. – Oregonians are heading out, hoping to purchase the winning ticket to half a billion dollar PowerBall jackpot. It’s an all time high for the PowerBall.
Across the country people lined up to buy a lottery ticket and Oregon businesses said they saw a spike in sales as people scrambled at a chance for the grand prize.
In the Rogue Valley, people were hoping lightning would strike twice. Some went to Ray’s in Jacksonville, where several lottery winners have bought tickets in the past. The cut off time buy a two dollar PowerBall ticket is 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
