Oregon: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

Beginning Friday, Oregon State Police will join 10,000 law enforcement agencies across the country in a drunk driving crackdown.

Friday through the Labor Day holiday, Oregon law enforcement will aggressively seek out impaired drivers as part of the nationwide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports, in 2010, there was one drunk driving death every 51 minutes across the U.S. Law enforcement hopes, this crackdown will prevent that from happening this year.

Oregon law enforcement will also be on the lookout for adults and children not wearing seat belts.
