ASHLAND, Ore. — Oregon chocolatiers and bakers are hoping to get your attention when you head to the Oregon Chocolate Festival this year.
More than 50 Oregon vendors will be at the Ashland Springs Hotel taking part in the Festival. Many of them are small businesses that have recently opened their doors.
Sjanna Sharbatz, the owner of Sjanna’s Cakery Kisses in White City says her first day in business was during last year’s festival. Last year, she won one of the festival’s awards. She says that’s what propelled her business forward to increase sales and even open a commercial kitchen.
“To win that award was amazing and exciting, and just kept propelling us forward,” Sharbatz said.
The event is already underway with the chocolate-themed First Friday Art Walk, which runs from 5 p.m. through 8 p.m. The festivities continue through the weekend at the Ashland Springs Hotel and throughout the city. Click here for more information.
