Oregon An “All-Star” For Military Voters

Oregon is being called an “all-star state” by the Military Voter Protection Project.

Thursday’s announcement says the state takes significant efforts to promote and protect the voting rights of America’s military service members and their families.

Those factors include: being proactive in reaching out to local military and National Guard units to provide on-base voter assistance; using electronic and web-based services to send election materials and Oregon’s track record of making sure that absentee military ballots are sent out well in advance.
