HILLSBORO, Ore. — A company has decided to move hundreds of jobs from Mexico to Oregon.
Governor Kitzhaber and the technology company Oracle made the announcement Tuesday. 130 new positions will be added and 300 more jobs will stay in Oregon instead of going overseas.
The company is getting close to $1.4 million from several state funded programs. The jobs created have to stay here for at least two years.
The new jobs will range from engineering to manufacturing. Oracle says it’s already actively looking for new employees.
