The chain is adding about 25,000 square feet as part of its superstore addition. So far they have hired roughly two hundred new employees.
They say they’re still hiring about eighty or so more for all positions. Officials with the company say after twenty years in that location, they see the expansion as indication of how business in that area of town is expanding.
“There’s a ton of expansion around here. They put in a Texas Roadhouse, there’s a Buffalo Wild Wings coming. Since we closed, there’s Trader Joes, Natural Grocers…so I think this area’s getting saturated,” said Store Manager John McBride.
The store is scheduled to re-open in September. Among the new changes, they say they’re in talks with the chamber of commerce to start marketing and stocking locally-made wines.
