GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Nine people chose to live a life of sobriety instead of spending more time behind bars.
The county held its 53rd drug court graduation ceremony at the Anne Basker Auditorium this week. The nine graduates bringing the total number to complete the program to 304.
A drug counselor who has worked closely with them say, it’s been a tough journey for many in the program.
A drug court judge says Josephine County has saved 2 million dollars since 2009 putting participants through drug court, rather than in jail.
