After the warmest day of the year so far, temperatures are going to cool down a bit heading into the weekend! More so on Sunday, rather than Saturday, but still temperatures won’t be quite as warm as the past two days. Sun and clouds are expected across most of the region for the weekend with high pressure still remaining over the Pacific.
Clouds begin to roll in on Monday ahead of the next system. An upper level trough will bring a much colder air mass into the higher elevations by Tuesday. Expect showers to begin Monday evening and continue into Tuesday. At this point, the models have trended showing the bulk of the storm heading to our South, so widespread precipitation is not expected but snow will fall in the passes so road conditions will be something of concern into Tuesday evening.
The showery weather pattern will remain as the week continues. As of now, it seems as though we get a brief break Wednesday before several more disturbances move in from the West. For now, let’s enjoy the beautiful sunshine!
Thanks for logging on and have a wonderful weekend!
