GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Two more arrests have been made in the Grants Pass arson fires, bringing the total to six arrests in the case, five juveniles and one adult.
Grants Pass Public Safety says the six suspects are all associated.
15-year-olds Eric Cox and Anthony Viscetto are facing three different charges in the fires. Cox was arrested at home Friday, and Viscetto turned himself in Thursday.
The suspects are being accused of setting fires around the old Grants Pass Water Tower. Viscetto is thought to be involved with the fires at both All Sports Park and Westholm Park.
They join 15-year-old Christian Illagan-Pederson, the fourth person arrested in the case. He is also accused of setting fires in the area of the old Grants Pass Water Tower, the area near Woodson Drive, the All Sports Park, and Westholm Park. He is charged with manufacture and possession of a destructive device and reckless burning.
16-year-old's Justin Acuff and Tristan Canepa, and 18-year-old Jonathon Davis were arrested Tuesday and charged with several counts of arson and manufacturing of a destructive device. Acuff and Canepa were arrested in Roseburg, where they had just recently moved from Grants Pass.
Acuff and Canepa are also charged for the fire at the Grants Pass City Water Tower, and all three suspects are charged with a fire in the area of G Street and Lincoln Street. Davis is also charged for a structure fire in a vacant house.
Investigators are currently working to identify the cause of more than 50 unsolved fires in the Grants Pass area in the past two years. They believe at least two-thirds of them are arson fires.
