MEDFORD, Ore. — Many people know someone who is aging, have aging parents, are experiencing age-related issues themselves, or have experienced a disability. There is a new resource in Southern Oregon to help anyone with an issue related to aging or disabilities.
Dave Toler is the Director of Senior and Disability Services at the Rogue Valley Council of Governments and spoke with NewsWatch12 on the new resource.
The Rogue Valley Aging & Disability Resource Connection is now available to answer questions and help people access information and assistance. In addition, there are counselors available to visit with people one-on-one to help them figure out solutions to issues associated with aging and disabilities.
It’s a gateway to a wide spectrum of resources and services at no cost and it’s available to anyone regardless of income. Since it’s part of a nationwide network, they can be a valuable resource even if the person needing the resources lives somewhere else.
The Aging and Disabilities Resource Center of Oregon has one phone number and one website: the phone number is toll free, 855-673-2372. The website is adrcoforegon.org.
