New Jackson Co. Library Board Meets

7-17-rob-web-library-250x250MEDFORD, Ore. — The New Jackson County Library Board plans to have a tax rate in place by the middle of August.

The five person board met for the first time this morning. The board will decide of a tax rate to help expand hours and services at Jackson County Libraries. That tax rate could be up 60 cents per thousand dollars of assessed property value. However, the board may elect to enact a smaller tax.

Board members say they want to make a decision in the tax rate by August 15th.
