ASHLAND, Ore. — Home is a place of comfort, security, and privacy, but some West Coast artists opening up and sharing their idea of home through art.
Twenty-eight artists, primarily from Central California, are being showcased in a new art exhibit at Southern Oregon University. The exhibit is called the Shelter and Habitat in Contemporary Art, and it features paintings, sculptures and video.
“I don’t think the community realizes that these are pretty big named artists so to have this work here and it’s always changing… we’re having new shows every few months, said SOU student Tyson Brodhead.
The exhibit is open through March 8 at the the Schneider Art Museum on the SOU campus in Ashland.
