PHOENIX, Ore.– 55-year-old Stephen Johnson of Phoenix was standing in the front yard of his home on the 4000 block of South Pacific Highway.
Johnson could potentially be charged for unlawful distribution, possession, and manufacturing of methamphetamine, and he faces those same charges for heroin.
When police searched his home today, they found over four ounces of meth, seven ounces of heroin, scales, and packaging material.
Neighbors say this type of thing is not unusual in their area.
“I don’t know if he was a king pin or anything but I think the police really have their work cut out for them because I do think we have an epidemic of methamphetamin use here in the Rogue Valley,” said Larry Stricklin who also lives in the 4000 block of Souther Pacific Highway.
Law enforcement also say they found over $12,000 when they were searching Johnson’s home that they believe could be proceeds of his drug trafficking.
