The resident investigated and noticed a man inside her 74-year-old neighbor’s home with a flashlight and called police. The resident knew her neighbor was not home at the time.
Medford Police say officers arrived quickly and quietly approached the residence, confronting the burglar at gun point. Officers took Paul May into custody as he emerged from the garage, according to a press release.
Investigators found six bags of property that May had removed from the home and staged in the back alley. Officers believe he entered the home through an “unsecured door.”
The elderly resident reports he doesn’t know the suspect. May is now lodged in the Jackson County Jail for multiple burglary-related charges.
