MEDFORD, Ore. — The rates on your gas bill are dropping. Starting Thursday, the reduction goes into effect impacting three companies, including Avista.
This comes after the Public Utility Commission ordered the reduction, based on what the companies pay for gas. Three companies to reduce rates based on the rates they pay for gas.
Rates for natural gas in Oregon have been cut. Oregon gets gas mainly from Canada and the rocky mountain region. The reductions among the three companies range from 6.9% to 17%. The commission said the rates will go in effect Thursday.
