MEDFORD, Ore. — Local National Guard members spent Saturday afternoon working at an ACCESS food share garden. Guard members helped winterize the Central Point location, saving ACCESS employees lots of labor hours.
“We’re rolling up the drip irrigation lines and cutting down all the plants. There’s a lot of work that goes into making these happen each year,” said Nan King with ACCESS.
These efforts ensure the garden beds are protected and the last of the harvest-green tomatoes are picked from the vines.
