MEDFORD, Ore. — It’s not enough just to get a big lead, you have to keep it. That’s what Rogue River’s Kevin Murphy had to do Thursday in order hang on and win the AJGA Junior Tournament at Centennial Golf Club.
Murphy went into the final round at -10, then increased his lead with an eagle and four birdies. In the end, it ended up being too big of a lead for the field to catch up, and Murphy took home the championship by seven strokes, finishing at -13.
Three players tied for second at -6.
