MOUNT ASHLAND — Winter is right around the corner, and this means it’s time for businesses to start hiring seasonal help.
On Thursday, Mt. Ashland will hold its annual job fair. It’s looking for dozens of workers.
Last year Mt. Ashland hired 80 new people. This year, managers are looking for anyone–preferably over 18 years old–to work in departments ranging from retail to rental. They are also looking for ski and snowboard instructors.
The job fair is being held Thursday at the Mt. Ashland Lodge between 5:30 and 9:00 p.m. If you plan to attend, Mt. Ashland hiring staff says to bring a filled out application. Click here to download the application.
If you are a returning Mt. Ashland employee, you do not need to attend the job fair. You will only need to submit a returning employee application to the Mt. Ashland office.
Mt. Ashland is not the only winter business that’s hiring. Rogue Ski Shop in Medford is hiring holiday help for the first time since 2008. The owner says he has not hired any seasonal help in a few years because of the economic crash caused by the recession.
The ski shop also had the same people coming back to work year after year, but this year it’s a different story. It has been able to hire six new people to help through the winter season. For more information on how to apply, call the ski shop at (541) 772-8047.
