Motorcyle Collides With UPS Truck

NEAR MERLIN, Ore. — A USP truck and motorcycle collided on a windy rural road. The truck was heading east just past Morrison’s Lodge on Galice Road in Josephine County. The already slow, sometimes blind, road was closed while troopers and deputies figured out what happened.

“The motorcyclist, like I said, came around the curve. It is fairly sharp. She went over the double yellow line into the oncoming lane, the truck did make a stop and she ran into the front of the truck,” said Josephine County Sheriff Gil Gilbertson.

The female rider was wearing a helmet. She was life-flighted to a Medford Hospital. Her husband, who was riding a second bike behind her, was not hurt.

I was wondering if you have heard any updates on her. I was on of the first responders to stay with her until the medics arrived. I would appreciate any info you could tell me.
    Thank you.
