Motorcycle Crashes During Chase

Police Arrest Stabbing SuspectCENTRAL POINT, Ore. — A high speed chase involving a motorcycle ends in a crash.

Jackson County Sheriff’s officials say it started on Beebe Road in Central Point around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A deputy attempted to pull 31-year-old Richard Myers over, but the sheriff’s office says he took off.

Myers eventually crashed in a field and then fled on foot. The sheriff’s office says a Jackson County K-9 team was called in to assist in the search, and K-9 Darco eventually found the suspect about in the field near the crash.

After receiving a minor dog bite, the suspect was taken into custody. He was taken to the hospital. Myers is facing several charges, including attempting to elude officials and reckless driving.
