MEDFORD, Ore. – Medford Police officers cracked down on dangerous drivers this Labor Day Weekend. Officers caught more impaired drivers this year compared to the last Labor Day.
Multiple law enforcement agencies joined the Medford Police Department in a saturation patrol for two days; those officers caught 10 people for drinking and driving and MPD caught an additional four.
A national grant funded the saturation patrol, putting more officers out on the road. Police also caught 8 people for warrant arrests, 3 people for drugs and issued 73 other citations, such as driving uninsured and speeding.
