MEDFORD, Ore. — More charges are being added for a Medford foster parent accused of sexually abusing two children in his care.
77-year-old James Mobley was arrested earlier this month on charges of sex abuse. Now Mobley is also being charged with private indecency. The biological mother of a third child in Mobley’s care says the new charge is because of alleged actions Mobley did to her child.
Police are looking into whether there are any additional victims and are hoping to talk to other foster children who may have lived with Mobley in the past.
Mobley had been an Oregon foster parent since 2008. The Department of Human Services said it cannot comment on the case, but said it does monthly checks with foster homes to see if there are problems.
