Moneywatch: Spring Travel

Airline BaggageEugene, Ore.- An airline trade organization predicts travel this spring will be the highest it has been in six years. More than 129 million people are expected to board a plane over the next two months. Passengers at the Eugene Airport say it is already starting to look like it did last year during spring break. The airport had one of the busiest days ever during that time.

Lines could also get longer at check-in. Some airlines say they are cracking down on passengers who try to avoid paying baggage fees by checking it at the gate. They say customers could be stopped before they ever even get through security and sent back to the counter.
