MEDFORD, Ore. — La Clinica is getting ready to take its mobile health center to Medford high schools.
The traveling health clinic has been on the roads for two years. It offers basic health and vision checkups, treatment for sports-related injuries, and in some cases even dental care.
Starting December it will be appearing weekly at North and South Medford High Schools. La Clinica says they see it as a complete replacement for a physician checkup.
“It may be as simple as a sports physical, it could be something to do with flu and cold season, sports injuries, any number of things you would see a regular physician for,” said La Clinica Mobile Support Specialist Mark Harris.
Students who choose to get checkups pay on a sliding scale based on income. La Clinica says everyone who shows up will be able to receive treatment. Tours of the mobile health center will be given at South Medford High on November 11th, and North Medford High on the 18th.
