MEDFORD, Ore. — Jackson County Sheriff’s Office have named a person of interest in the case of a missing person. Stephanie Anne Warner was reported missing on July 4th, 2013.
Investigators have now named 60-year-old Lennie Laverne Ames as a person of interest in Warner’s disappearance. Ames was Warner’s boyfriend at the time of her disappearance and was the last person known to have contact with Warner on July 4th.
Thursday, members of the California Oregon Regional Search and Rescue Team searched a wooded area on BLM property near a camp site recently occupied by Ames.
8 days ago, detectives served a search warrant on the camp itself, which included a travel trailer and vehicles. Several items were seized as evidence during that search. Additional evidence was collected from a search of Ames home on Wednesday.
The investigation into the disappearance of Stephanie Warner is ongoing. Anyone who has information about her disappearance is asked to call the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 541-774-8333 or email CID@jacksoncounty.org.
