GRANTS PASS, Ore. – Nearly 200 horses seized by the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office are hoping to go to a new home.
The county is auctioning those animals Saturday at the fairgrounds, and possible buyers got a first look on Friday. 180 horses were seized from a suspected animal hoarder in Cave Junction in September. Most of the animals are miniature horses.
The auctioneers say all of the animals have been vaccinated, and now the county wants them to go to caring owners. The auction is being held Saturday morning at 10 a.m., at the Josephine County Fairgrounds.
