GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A town hall style meeting was held Saturday afternoon to discuss same sex marriage legislation at both national and state levels.
Basic Rights Oregon is currently on a southern Oregon tour and made a stop in Grants Pass. The group has there eyes putting a proposition on the 2014 ballot that would allow same sex marriage in Oregon.
“We’re organizing to see what we can do in our local communities to spread the word to our friends and families about why marriage is important and it’s about love,” said Bonnie Cameron who attended
Multiple states, including Washington, passed same sex marriage ballot measures in this year’s election.
