Update: Medically Endangered Man Found

Michael CookGRANTS PASS, Ore. — Oregon State Police say a missing man’s family reports he was found safe at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Oregon State Police asked for your help to find a missing person early Saturday. Police say 63-year-old Michael Cook was reportedly last seen leaving a residence northwest of Grants Pass. Police said he has a life-threatening medical condition requiring daily medication he did not have on him.

Police said on Saturday morning around 3:30, Cook was seen leaving his home on the 1000 block of Plumtree Lane near Grants Pass in a 1997 Ford Ranger. Officers believed he was headed toward Grants Pass, but his family was not immediately able to locate him after trying to call his cell phone and call his friends.

Police described the truck as a black Ford Ranger with chrome wheels, diamond plate bed rails and is in nice condition. Police said a 1990 Yamaha FJ2 motorcycle was tethered into the pickup’s bed.
