Oregon medical marijuana advocates are trying to make it easier for more people to get their hands on medical marijuana.
For the third time, they are trying to get post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD added to the list of qualifying conditions for legal marijuana use.
Colorado and Arizona are among other states rejecting this idea as well. Advocates say people with the disorder are already allowed to use the drug for other medical conditions, but they’d like PTSD to gain recognition on its own.
The state requires a petition in order to expand the medical marijuana use program in Oregon. A state panel then reviews the petition.
