Medford Teacher Negotiations Ends

MEDFORD TEACHERSMEDFORD, Ore. — After voting to support a strike if necessary, the Medford teachers union says negotiations on Friday came to an abrupt end.

After almost a year of negotiations, Medford educators called an end to the bargaining session and walked away from the table on Friday. They say the Medford School District made it clear that they were unwilling to offer anything more in terms of a financial package.

The MEA bargaining team says it will meet with the district again as soon as the district is willing to talk about increasing the financial offer and other unresolved contract issues.
