MEDFORD, Ore. — A new distribution center is now up and running for the Medford School District. It is the final piece of what is being called the Medford School District Education Center.
The $1.3 million consolidation brings operations from five buildings to one location. Now, all of Medford School District’s functions are operating on South Medford High School’s former campus. That includes Central Medford High School, administrative offices, maintenance, and classroom training rooms.
Dr. Phil Long, Superintendent, said the project was funded by the $189 million bond measure passed in 2006.
“Our goal for this facility was to protect it, preserve it, and to see if we could consolidate to get some efficiencies and create better working conditions for everyone,” Dr. Phil Long, said.
The district has leased it’s empty rooms and buildings to several organizations like The Maslow Project and Sodexo Nutrition Services.
