Medford Police To Saturate City

MEDFORD, Ore. – If you are on the road this weekend plan to see more police cars on patrol. On Saturday, Medford Police will saturate the city with added officers specifically looking for drunk drivers.

The officers will receive some assistance from Jackson County Sheriffs officers and OSP taking Saturday total to about 10 more cars on the road. Officers saturate the area this weekend because its a celebration-type holiday where people are drinking alcohol.

“People come up from California to go shopping and some stay overnight so we have a lot of people here on the holiday weekends and so we’re just having extra patrols to make sure everyone stays safe,” said Medford Police Sgt. Tom Ianieri.

Medford Police officers say Thanksgiving was fairly quiet on their end for a holiday officers on the afternoon shift say it was just your normal Thursday.
