A 7-Hour Search For Suspect Is Now Over

[UPDATE] After a seven hour search overnight, Medford Police arrested Abdul Blair. Medford Police say Blair has violated a restraining order several times by going to a home on Table Rock Road. They say he went to that home again last night and stole a computer, cell phone and other items. Police say they arrested Blair at 5 a.m. at Walgreens on Barnett Road.

[PREVIOUS STORY]: MEDFORD, Ore. — As of midnight, Medford Police were still searching for a suspect they believe was armed with a gun. A parameter was set up in the area along Columbus Avenue from Prune Street to West Main Street. Several Medford squad cars screamed into the area to set up a parameter around 10:00 p.m.

Medford Police Officers say they are looking for a man who has violated restraining orders and has a outstanding warrant. Officers believe he has a gun and say, during their search, people living in the area spotted the suspect walking down the street.

Medford Police describe the suspect as a black man, about 6 feet tall and weighing around 180 pounds. Officers have not provided a name of the man they are searching for.
