MEDFORD, Ore. – Medford Police are investigating the case of a man who showed up at Medford’s Providence Hospital with a gunshot wound on Sunday night. The man who showed up at Providence Hospital would not say how he wound up with the wound.
Medford Police’s investigation revealed the victim, 29-year-old Raymond Lloyd Young, had been involved in an altercation in the parking lot of a business in the 1500 block of Sage Road, during which time he was shot. Police said the victim underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition.
Police do not believe this shooting was a random act, but rather the victim and the suspect were known to each other. Anyone with information is asked to call the Medford Police Criminal Investigations Division, 541-774-2230, attention Det. Kirk Cromwell.
