MEDFORD, Ore. — The water year ended Friday for most of Southern Oregon and, despite a dry start, Medford finished with 17.17 inches of precipitation.
The total is a little more than six-tenths of an inch below normal. There was plenty of rain in late spring. The month of June saw more than two-and-a-half inches of rain.
For most Southern Oregon, the water year begins September 1st and runs through the end of August.
