Medford NLL Drop First Tournament Game

Medford NLL Drops Tournament Opener

MEDFORD, Ore. – The Sprague little league team played more like the home team in the second day of the Oregon state little league tournament. The Medford National team dropped to Sprague on its home field 5-2.

Sprague jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the 1st inning, but Medford answered with a bases loaded single by Zach Taylor in the 3rd inning. Sprague added another in the top of the 4th before Medford tacked on its second run of the game on an RBI double by Skyler Radasa in the bottom of the inning. That was all the offense Medford would muster, however. Sprague tacked on two more runs in the final two innings and improved their record to 2-0 in the tournament’s pool play. Medford falls to 0-1.

Klamath Falls secured its first win of the tournament with a 18-8 thrashing of Sheldon. The Klamath Falls American team is off on Monday.

The elimination portion of the tournament begins Thursday after all nine teams have been seeded based on the previous five days’ results.
