MEDFORD, Ore. — Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement (MADGE) have made another arrest. This time, for 54-year old Jeffrey Rupert for the manufacture and possession of both heroin and methamphetamine.
Wednesday afternoon MADGE officials served a search warrant to the suspect’s residence in Medford where they found approximately four grams of heroin and three and a half grams of methamphetamine. It is believed the suspect was distributing the drugs. In addition, investigators came across $330, packaging, and two bottles containing steroids labeled “Superior Labs.”
Back in February, MADGE detectives arrested Rafael Rene Fernandez for the distribution of steroids The steroids seized from his home were packaged in bottles marked “Superior Labs.” Because of the similarities between the cases, investigators are looking further into connections between the two arrests.
Rupert was taken into custody and brought to the Jackson County Jail on charges including the unlawful delivery, manufacture, and possession of a controlled substance for both heroin and methamphetamine among other charges, one of which for steroids. His bail is set for $112,000.
