Medford Judge’s Mountain Bike Stolen

MEDFORD, Ore. — The latest victim of a rash of bike thefts in Medford has the power to put the thieves in prison.

Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Tim Barnack says he was in the gym when his mountain bike was stolen from outside.

According to Medford Police, bike thefts increase dramatically during good weather, sometimes several are reported per day.

Medford Police also told the Mail Tribune that chains and locks don’t deter theives, so it’s best to keep bikes in sight or inside.
