Medford Hotel Robbed

MEDFORD, Ore. – A Medford hotel was the victim of an armed robbery Friday night and police are still searching for the suspect.

Police say no one was hurt when a white adult male in his mid 30’s to early 40’s walked into the lobby of the Shilo Inn on Biddle Road in Medford and demanded money from the clerk while holding a knife. Police say there is no particular reason the Shilo Inn was targeted other than the fact they were open late at night.

“Was looking for a place that he could get some quick cash and it comes down to what businesses are going to be open late at night that would potentially have some cash and of course a hotel or motel would.” Medford Police Lt. Mike Budreau.

Police say the suspect was last seen walking eastbound across Biddle Road towards Food 4 Less.
