WHITE CITY, Ore. — If you want to help the community “go green”, you can become a master recycler.
The Jackson County Recycling Partnership is looking for volunteer “master recyclers”. Those who register would go through a 3 month training course, doing everything from learning about waste prevention to going on field trips. Master Recyclers also take part in 40 hours of service helping the community reduce its carbon footprint.
“We have students ranging from our first high school student to seniors. We have a really unique group of people, but they all have the same desire and passion to learn about recycling,” Denise Barnes, with Rogue Disposal & Recycling, Inc.
The weekly classes will happen every Wednesday from March 6th through May 22nd. It is $85 for individuals, $100 for non-profits and $185 for businesses. The next deadline to register is Wednesday. Click here for more information.
